Embracing Change with The Shady Groove: Theme-Time Radio & Podcast #105

Jimi spinning records

I had a great time putting together this weeks’ edition of ‘theme-time’ radio for y’all. Here we talk about change and the songs that sing about it. Whether it’s simply just changing your clocks, changing the clothes that you wear, changing the food we eat, or even thinking a bigger change is in store for you, we all know that change is a part of life. And it’s especially apparent in the season-changing areas of the world. Such as it is in the Northeast part of the country that I call home. And winter has been no peach to us this year. Change is a good thing though.

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Anne Bradstreet

These are the songs that were included:

Changing All Those Changes – Nick Lowe ++ David Bowie – Changes ++ Jimi Hendrix – Changes ++ Blind Melon – Change ++ Bob Dylan – The Times They Are A-Changin’ ++ Gary Clark Jr. – Things Are Changin’ (live) ++ Tedeschi Trucks Band – Love Has Something Else To Say ++ Roy Buchanan – Can I Change My Mind ++ Trey Anastasio – Money, Love & Change ++ George Harrison – All Things Must Pass ++ Fitz & The Tantrums – Winds of Change ++ BB Seaton – I’m A Changed Man ++ John Mayer w Doyle Bramhall II – Change It (live) ++ Alabama Shakes – I Ain’t The Same ++ Shinyribs – Change Is Gonna Come.
